To become an effective manager in the 21st century, the global economy requires a commitment to professional excellence and integrity, achievable through establishing habits of self-reflection, life-long learning, and professional development.
The purpose of this assignment is to reflect on where students are currently in their management and leadership capabilities and on what they have learned about effective management in this course; examine their strengths and weaknesses, and determine how they can use the four principles of management and other management theories to create value in a given organization and how they want to develop and improve as they continue their leadership and management capabilities moving forward in their chosen field.
(NOTE: The research paper shouldn’t be written about management in general, but the focus is on YOU. Be sure your comments keep you in the forefront.)

Early in Week 5 I will send out another email assigning you to your groups. Since you will be working on your papers for a few weeks by yourself, there is no need to assign the groups right now. In Week 7 each student will review the final drafts of each of their group members in a Group Forum, commenting on strengths and weaknesses, making recommendations, etc.
This discussion should be a collaborative effort, with communication back and forth between everyone in the group, with the goal of improving everyone’s final paper. Once your group members review your Draft Research Paper, you are required to respond to at least two of them. This will take place in the discussions area of the course during Week 7.
Good luck with your paper and let me know if you have any questions.
