The American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing
states that master’s education must prepare the graduate to translate evidence into practice (www.

This paper/project proposal is intended to demonstrate the student’s ability to evaluate and synthesize current and relevant data providing the stateof evidence on a specific nursing issue. The assignment requires the student to conduct a thoroughliterature search, critically appraise the current evidence on the identified nursing issue, summarizethat evidence, and develop a plan/proposal to implement evidence-based recommendations from the evidencereview.
For this assignment, your team will write a 10 to 15 paper (not including Title, Abstract, and Reference pages) which focuses on an evidence -based approach to a clinical problem. You will identify a clinical situation and then look to the literature for evidence on approaches to addressing the problem.
