Henri Fayol and Graham Allison have both made substantial contributions to the topic of public administration, yet they take distinct tacks when discussing it. Fayol emphasizes the value of organizational structure and human behavior in good management. These concepts include authority, discipline, and initiative. Hi there, Cassidy I like your careful examination of the different public administration theorists. Though they take different approaches to the topic, I think Max Weber’s bureaucratic theory and Graham Allison’s Rational-Comprehensive Model have both had a significant influence on the evolution of public administration. Allison’s Rational-full Model promotes a thorough investigation of numerous elements for informed decision-making in complicated public affairs (Lamidi, 2015). It stresses systematic decision-making and the full assessment of choices and their repercussions. However, Max Weber’s bureaucratic theory concentrates on the organizational structure itself, stressing the need for a central system based on national rules to control organizational structure and increase productivity.

Although both concepts made significant contributions, Allison’s strategy is more flexible and adaptive. His approach is relevant in a variety of public administration settings since it takes into consideration several factors that effect decision-making, such as political, legal, and bureaucratic difficulties. Additionally, Allison’s paradigm addresses the drawbacks of traditional decision-making methods by promoting transparency and accountability. Although important, Weber’s bureaucratic theory is mainly focused on organizational structure.
